On April 18, CHN Energy Qinghai Branch achieved full turbine installation for the 300 MW wind power component of its 1,000 MW integrated wind-solar-storage project in Dachaidan in northwest China’s Qinghai province.

As a key provincial energy initiative, the project deploys 48 units of 6.25 MW doubly-fed wind turbines designed for medium-low wind speeds on land. It pioneers an innovative "plum blossom" array layout that optimizes airflow distribution to enhance power generation efficiency.

The facility features a prefabricated 110 kV booster station and comprehensive video surveillance across the wind farm. Upon operation, it is projected to generate over 700 million kWh annually, saving 250,000 tons of standard coal while reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 500,000 tons. This project constitutes a critical segment of China's second batch of national large-scale renewable energy bases, with total planned capacity reaching 1,000 MW through coordinated development of 300 MW wind power, 700 MW photovoltaic systems and supporting energy storage infrastructure.
