As of April 10, Shuohuang Railway under CHN Energy has achieved a historic coal transport volume of over 5 billion tons, solidifying its position as a critical artery for national energy distribution.

As China's second National Class I dual-track electrified heavy-haul railway following Daqin Railway, the 889-kilometer Shuohuang network comprises three freight lines connecting Shanxi's northern plateau to Huanghua Port on the Bohai Bay. This corridor serves as the country's second-largest channel for West-to-East coal transportation.

Through continuous operational optimization since its inauguration in 2000, the railway has pioneered multimodal road-to-rail transitions and technological breakthroughs. The corporation's proprietary moving block technology has reduced train tracking intervals from 11 to 7 minutes while boosting transport density by 35%. Its innovative 30-ton axle load system, now incorporated into the International Heavy Haul Railway Technical Guide, resolved multiple engineering challenges. Advanced inspection vehicles feature 5G and BeiDou satellite-integrated positioning enabling millimeter-level track monitoring and enhancing infrastructure safety and operational reliability.

Beyond coal logistics, the railway has diversified its cargo portfolio, transporting 160 million tons of non-coal commodities including construction materials and grain across 17 categories. Maintaining annual volumes exceeding 300 million tons for eight consecutive years, it continues redefining heavy-haul railway efficiency benchmarks while supporting regional economic integration.
