On April 17, CHN Energy Guoyuan Power Co., Ltd., received the first prize of the 2024 Environmental Technology Advancement Award by the China Association of Environmental Protection Industry (CAEPI) for its project titled "Key Technology Development and Application of Zero Liquid Discharge and Salt Resource Recovery for High-salinity Wastewater"

The project, a collaborative effort between Hequ Power Plant of CHN Energy Guoyuan Power Co., Ltd., the Institute of Process Engineering under the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and other institutions, introduced groundbreaking innovations including anti-fouling selective separation membrane technology and interface polymerization-modified ion electrodialysis membranes. This integrated system enables zero liquid discharge and efficient salt resource recovery from high-salinity wastewater through a multi-stage, quality-specific treatment process.

The Environmental Technology Advancement Award, established by CAEPI, recognizes technological innovations that advance the environmental protection sector, providing critical support for ecological conservation and pollution control initiatives.
